"You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit" John 15: 16, NIV Welcome to our new website. We invite you to create a user account so that you can be able to contribute content to this website. Our intention is to empower all users so that we can collaborate in building a dynamic and useful website that will allow for a lively exchange of news and information in the whole Diocese. Our Vision A strengthened Anglican Church built on the foundation of the apostolic faith in Jesus Christ with the ability to equip all God's people to face the challenges of the new millenium. Our Mission To bring all people into a aliving relationship with God through Jesus Christ; through preaching, teaching, healing and social transformation and enabling them to grow in faith and live life in its fullness. History Created in 1964 on the sub-division of Diocese of Mombasa. In 1985, the Diocese of Machakos was separated from it and in 1963 Kajiado Diocese was created from the Kajiado Archdeaconry. On 1st September 2002, The All Saints Cathedral Diocese was carved out as the Archbishop's Diocese leaving the presnt Nairobi Diocese. We know how difficult it is to start off as a new diocese, but we plan to invite professionals to assist in mapping out our priorities in our development plans. We shall also intensify our commitment to evangelism, theological training, TEE, ministry to schools, community development, ecumenism, empowering our various departments: Sunday school, Youth Mothers Union and Fathers' Association and as the Church has been called to be prophetic, we will prophesy. |
