St. John’s Community Centre (SJCC) is implementing a Strategic Plan 2015-2020 geared to accelerate capacity
building of target community for sustainable development.

The Centre launched 3 new Projects namely: Determined, Resilient, Empowered, AIDS Free, Mentored and
Safe (DREAMS) funded by Global Communities with support from USAID, Advocacy funded by United
Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF) and Nilinde OVC Project funded by PLAN International with support
from USAID.
The outcomes of activities carried out are as a result of support from our partners: Global Communities,
Kindernothilfe (KNH), Aphia Plus, Tearfund U.K, USAID, United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF), Plan
International Kenya, Drammen School – Denmark, Fredskorpset, Children Incorporated USA and Individual
Friends of the Centre.
The main goal of the activities carried out in these programs was aimed at empowering vulnerable communities
to effectively address root causes of poverty and injustices for the attainment of sustainable livelihoods.

SJCC hopes to adapt an entrepreneurial approach to institutional management in Year 2017 to increase local
resource mobilization. Most of the current programs will run for the rest of Year 2017. It is our prayer that
not much interruptions will be suffered during the Election Year however, we will plan to manage the year
appropriately.
