Bishop Elect Ven Canon Jonathan Kabiru and Faith Kabiru
Currently serving as the Archdeacon of Kasarani, Ven. Canon Jonathan is a dedicated servant of God with a wealth of experience in ministry. He holds a Degree in Theology from Kenya Methodist University and a Diploma in Theology from St. Paul’s United Theological College, Limuru (now St. Paul’s University). He is currently pursuing doctoral studies in Philosophy in Organizational Development (PhDOD).
Born in Iyego, Githunguri, Canon Jonathan was raised by God-fearing parents who instilled strong Christian values in him. He was confirmed in 1990, ordained as a deacon on August 18, 2002, by the late Archbishop Gitari at All Saints Cathedral, and priested on July 27, 2003. He was first appointed as an archdeacon on August September 1st, 2013.
Ven Canon Kabiru is married to Faith and together they are blessed with three children, Chanel, Claris and Andy.
Canon Jonathan is known for his humility, dedication, and caring heart, making him a remarkable leader. We pray and wish him every blessing as he assumes leadership responsibilities in the Diocese in this year of our Lord 2025 March 16th.
